Division 5 Software
|
|
|
Division 5 Software is a
product line designed specifically for the steel fabrication industry.
It is a
completely integrated, 32-bit, modular, network-ready, steel estimating, project management
and production management software package written for the Windows 9x/2000/NT/XP/Vista/Windows
7 operating systems.
It addresses the two basic administrative problems present in the steel
fabrication industry today; the lack of experienced estimators and managers, and the
paperwork that is required to stay on top of a fast track construction
world.
It combines over thirty years of first hand steel
fabrication, estimating, detailing and project management experience in a software system designed from the ground up specifically for the
commercial, industrial, and red iron miscellaneous steel fabricator.
It is a complete "estimate to final invoice" system.
Our programs are not Excel templates nor do they require you to navigate large databases. In fact, our interface is so
intuitive, you will not need months, weeks or days
of training to use it. This website shows you a few of
the program windows with brief descriptions.

Our Philosophy
|
We believe the key to being a successful fabricator is the
same as it is in most other businesses; your employees, particularly your key
personnel. Yes, you also need good shop personnel and equipment. But, if
you don't sell your work for the right price or you can't get it out on time,
the best shop personnel and equipment won't do more than slow down the
loss.
- Estimators must be able to quickly and accurately estimate your true
material, labor, erection, subcontract, and buyout costs over a wide range of
projects.
- Sales
must be confident with the estimated costs to apply markups based on shop
schedules and market conditions.
- Project Managers must be able to plan, document and track each scope
item from release through submittals, purchasing, fabrication, installation and
invoicing.
In order to maximize your employees
potential, you must provide them with the right tools.
Let us show you how we can put over thirty years of estimating
and management skills to work for you.
|
What we can do for you:
Estimating:
1. Increase the quality, quantity and consistency
of your estimates.
| Our streamlined steel estimating takeoff module will dramatically
decrease your takeoff time |
| Your material pricing will be nailed down to the true cost
including drops (warehouse and mill) |
| Your fabrication labor will be based on time proven values
(it's like having a seasoned, 30 year-in-the-business, estimator) |
| All of your estimates will be priced consistently,
regardless of who estimates them |
2. Put you on a level playing field on
bid day, regardless of your company's size.
| When you know your true costs, you can be more aggressive
with your bid strategy |
| Knowing the correct fabrication hours allows you to quote
your turn around time with confidence |
| Quickly breakout and analyze alternates and value
engineering options |
| Check different coating scenarios |
| Apply different overhead and profit structures to parts or
all of your estimate |
Project Management:
1. Decrease management time and stress.
| Contract document log tracks all specifications, drawings
and revisions |
| Transmittals, memos, RFI's, change order requests make
documenting it simple |
| Project warnings keep you ahead of the task |
| Project payables and receivables verifies vendor invoicing
and customer payments |
| Job costing can track each aspect of the project expense |
| Automated AIA invoicing make invoicing a snap and also
maximize your billings |
Production Management:
1. Tighten control.
| Shop drawing log tracks all status changes and revisions |
| Shop bills group and weigh by piece mark, regardless of how
material is entered and can fill in duplicate minor mark material sizes and
lengths |
| Sorting and multing minimizes waste and can export to
purchase orders |
| Purchase orders track all material purchases and the
receipt of material |
| Truck loading reports by shop drawing and sequence keep the
loading process efficient |
| Shipping tickets verify what has been sent and to whom and
are fully searchable |
